Fifa World Cup is set for June / July 2010 South Africa is no stranger to hosting international world class sporting events, and since 1994 has been successful in hosting some of the biggest sporting events including the 1995 Rugby World Cup, the 2003 Cricket World Cup and the Women's World Cup of Golf in 2005 and 2006. In 2010 the prestigious Fifa World Cup will be added to the list. The Fifa 2006 World Cup in Germany set the record as the single most extensively covered and viewed event in television history. The Fifa World Cup in South Africa 2010 will draw an even bigger audience. There will be an estimated three million international visitors alone putting South Africa on the international stage. The host cities include Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town, Durban, Port Elizabeth, Rustenburg, Nelspruit, Polokwane and Bloemfontein.
